e85-e98 results
chris.... after all the rain in may last Saturday was my first time out to a drag strip this year.
We had very positive results for our first test and tune with E85. Last year we finished up
around the 10.40 et, we left the track Saturday with our last 2 runs back to back at 10.19 et
@131mph. We really did very little tweaking to get there. Changed the plugs and played
with launch RPM and shift point. We knew we had  traction issues but when we got home
and really started looking at the data logger info, traction issue is a gross understatement!!!!
I'm sure with some real tuning and some 4 link adjustments we can shave another
three-tenths maybe even four. So far I'm very pleased that we switched to E85 and your
carb mods work great....-Dave : Faribault, MN
chris.."I finally got my car done and on the road. The carb is super awesome! I'm totally
pleased! Back when this engine ran on race gas, it never ran this good. Thanks so much
for the top-notch servie   -Mike Standley

Hey Chris, this is Erik Wright (you did a E85 dominator for my 68 LeMans pictured on your
site.)  I have sold that car and am working on another one now.  This one has a 421
SBC,solid roller,victor jr. cnc'd heads,11.2:1 compression,'glide with 5000 stall etc.  It has a
820 Race Demon on it right now that works great; but I want to go to E85.  Do you set the
Demon's up for that also?  If so, give me a price and turnaround time.
I didn't get a chance to run that last one you did for me down the track; but the new owner
has been running it.  The quickest I went on the motor alone with 110 gas was 10.63 and
this guy has gone 10.24 on E85 with no changes!!  Good work!
Let me know. Thanks, Erik.

Chris,
Here are some pictures of my Minn-e-rod in action.  I am currently in the lead for the “No
Smoking” award.  This award is given out by the club members for the puller who
consistently gives the best show, the best show usually means the most tire smoke.
I have your stickers and E85 stickers on the tractor.  People are amazed at the performance
running E85.  It’s awesome.  I’ll stay in touch,  I’ve sent a couple guys your way and will
continue to plug your carbs and E85 at all the pulls..Thanks again,..Rob

comments = Hi Chris,
Thanks for the help setting up our Holley 500 cfm carb to run E-85 for our dirt track
Sportsman (Pro-stock, Limited Late Model). Finished the season 2nd in points. Made a
minor high speed air bleed adjustement on 8/30/08 and led 14 3/4 laps of a 15 lap feature.
Unfortunately for 2009, we are combining with the late model class. We will be pushing to
still be able to run E-85, but most likely we'll need to run a 4 barrel. Will be contacting you
when I know what carb we'll be able to run.
Thanks again

comments = Chris,
Thanks for the great job you did on the 950HP e-85 conversion for the 477 Chevy I recently
built. The carb performed flawlessly on the dyno and had a fuel curve that was within
.02/pound on the BSFC numbers throughout the RPM range. The carb actually performed
best the way you had it jetted out of the box! Your "real time" tuning advice while I was on
the dyno was very helpful as well. With a simple timing and jetting sweep, we had it tuned
right in..This was a 92 octane engine when I last built/dynoed it. I raised the compression to
12.2:1 from 10.25:1 and went with a slightly longer duration cam. It went from 560 to 610
horsepower and from 540#/ft to 580#/ft on the torque. Like most of the mild oval port stuff I
build, it was done with 2.09/1.72 valves and only minimal port work.
The throttle response it great and the it idles at 800 rpm. The data from your dyno/ build
sheet was very comprehensive and helpful as well. Myself and the engine's owner were very
pleased with the results.
You're the best in the business, expect more boxes from North Branch in your UPS in the
future!
Thanks again, Ron Flood, Cedar Machine Service.
P.S. I'll mail you the before and after dyno sheets.
